PACKAGING QUESTIONS, CLEAR ANSWERS

Sauce & Condiment Packaging FAQ

Quick answers for packaging teams evaluating bottles, jars, closures, customization, compliance and export supply.

01

Company & Certificates

Are you a factory or a trading company?

Gracepack is a packaging manufacturer focused on plastic bottles, jars and matched closures. For related packaging such as glass bottles, jars or gift boxes, we can also coordinate with stable partner factories when a project needs a complete packaging set.

Can you provide MSDS, COC or other certificates?

Basic documents can be supplied according to the confirmed material and product route. If a project needs a special test report for a company standard or destination market, we can help arrange third-party testing and confirm the lab cost before proceeding.

Do your plastic products comply with food-contact and environmental standards?

Our standard packaging uses food-grade materials and is matched with available documents such as ISO 22000, FDA-related or market-specific reports where applicable. The exact document set depends on material, cap component and destination market.

How do you ensure product quality?

Quality control includes production-stage inspection, cap-fit review, appearance checks and final inspection before shipment. For formal claims or non-conformance review, photos, videos and inspection details are checked against the agreed order terms.

02

MOQ, Samples & Stock

What is your MOQ?

For many standard bottle and jar projects, MOQ is usually around 5,000 pieces, but it varies by model, material and stock status. If a suitable item is in stock, smaller trial quantities may be possible with a small-order fee.

Can I get free samples?

Existing samples can usually be provided free of charge, with courier cost paid by the receiving account. For bulk orders, sample freight can sometimes be refunded or offset according to the final order arrangement.

If I do not need customization, how fast can goods be shipped?

If the selected item is in stock, goods may be shipped within a few days after order confirmation and payment arrangement. Exact timing depends on quantity, packing method and chosen shipping route.

Can I order a lower quantity for a custom color cap or lid?

Custom colors often require a higher MOQ, commonly around 10,000 pieces per color. If you only need part of the quantity immediately, we can discuss partial shipment and warehouse holding for the remaining quantity.

03

Customization & New Mold

Can food-grade plastic packaging be customized?

Yes. Shape, capacity, color, label, logo printing, embossed logo, cap color and new mold development can be reviewed based on the product, mold availability and production timeline.

Can you develop a bottle from only an idea?

Yes. A typical custom project starts with your idea, reference sample or sketch, then moves through drawing, 3D rendering, prototype sample, mold making and final production confirmation.

How long does a custom mold take?

A new mold commonly takes about 2-3 weeks after the drawing and structure are confirmed. Timing and cost depend on bottle size, shape complexity, mold structure and required sampling.

What is the lead time for custom-designed products?

Custom-designed packaging usually takes about 4-6 weeks from confirmed design to production, depending on mold complexity, production volume, decoration and approval speed.

04

Materials & Filling

What plastic materials are commonly used?

Common food-packaging materials include PET, HDPE, PP, PS and related closure materials. For sauce, condiment and spice packaging, PET, HDPE and PP are usually the main routes, selected by product type and filling conditions.

Are your plastic products heat-resistant?

Some products, especially selected PP bottles, can support higher-temperature use up to around 120 degrees C. Heat resistance must be confirmed with the exact bottle, cap, filling temperature and process.

I need hot filling. Which packaging do you recommend?

For hot-fill projects, PP bottles are often the first route to review. Please share filling temperature, cooling process, sauce acidity, capacity and cap requirement so the material and closure can be matched safely.

Can PET bottles be used in the freezer?

Some PET bottle routes can be used for low-temperature storage around -25 degrees C. Final confirmation should be based on bottle structure, filled product, storage time and transport conditions.

05

Sustainability & Recycled Material

Can PET bottles be made from recycled PET?

Yes, recycled PET can be discussed for suitable projects. Availability, food-contact suitability, color, cost and destination-market requirements should be checked before confirming a recycled-material route.

Can you add different percentages of recycled material?

For suitable products, recycled material ratios can be reviewed according to project requirements. Cost, color stability, food-contact requirements and mechanical performance may change as the recycled content increases.

Can your plastic bottles be recycled?

We offer commonly recyclable plastic routes such as PET, HDPE and PP. Actual recyclability also depends on local recycling systems, labels, colors, closures and whether the package is clean after use.

Do you offer biodegradable material?

Biodegradable or bio-based options such as PLA can be discussed when required. For many commercial packaging projects, PCR material may be a more practical sustainability route, so we review the market requirement and cost target first.

06

Packing, Shipping & Payment

What is your packing method? Can you use pallets?

Bottles and jars are usually packed in export cartons. Pallet packing is available when needed, but it increases total volume and may affect sea freight cost.

Can you ship goods to another supplier's factory?

Yes. For consolidated orders, we can ship to another supplier's factory, or help collect compatible goods and arrange combined shipment from our side after details are confirmed.

Can I use my FedEx or DHL account for samples?

Yes. If you provide your courier account and pickup details, we can help arrange sample pickup and prepare the required shipping label or parcel information.

What are your standard payment terms?

Standard payment terms are usually deposit before production and balance before shipment. For repeat orders or larger projects, terms such as L/C or payment against copy B/L can be discussed case by case.
